How to give us access to your Shopify store

This takes under two minutes. You stay in full control of what we can see and do.

Option A: Send us your collaborator code

Recommended, fastest method

Every Shopify store has a 4-digit collaborator code. You send us the code, we request access from our end, and you approve it. Simple.

  1. Log in to your Shopify admin
  2. Go to Settings → Users
  3. Scroll down to the Security section
  4. You'll see a 4-digit collaborator request code. Click it to copy.
  5. Send the code to us at (email, WhatsApp, whatever is easiest)
  6. We'll submit a request from our end. You'll get a notification in your Shopify admin to approve it.
  7. Click Approve and you're done.
Good to know When you approve our request, you choose exactly which permissions to give us. You can change or revoke access at any time.

Option B: Invite us directly as a staff member

Alternative method

If you'd prefer to invite us directly instead of sharing a code, you can add us as a staff member from your Shopify admin.

  1. Log in to your Shopify admin
  2. Go to Settings → Users
  3. Click Add staff
  4. Enter our details:
    Name: Scale House
    Email:
  5. Select the permissions you'd like to grant (see our recommendations below)
  6. Click Send invite
Staff vs collaborator Staff accounts count toward your plan's staff limit. Collaborator accounts don't. If you're on a Basic plan with limited staff seats, Option A is better.

What permissions do we need?

This depends on what we're working on together. Here's what we typically ask for:

+ Online Store
+ Products
+ Content
+ Navigation
+ Reports
+ Marketing

If we're managing ads or email marketing for you, we may also need access to Customers and Analytics. We'll let you know exactly what's needed for your project.

You can always adjust permissions later from Settings → Users without needing to remove and re-add us.
