Most agency blogs are graveyards. A few posts from the launch, a "Top 10 Shopify Apps for 2022" listicle that nobody updated, and then silence. We didn't want to start one of those.
So we waited until we actually had something to put in it.
This is post one. It exists mostly to prove the format works. The format is the point: every post on this blog will read like a piece of design, not like a Word document somebody dumped into a CMS. Video backgrounds. A scroll bar at the top of the page that fills as you read. A floating play button that will, in the next post, narrate the whole thing in our own voice.
What this blog is for
Three things, in order of how often you'll see them:
- Post-mortems. Real things we built, real things we broke, real things we learned. We'll show the work, with the names off.
- Playbooks. The stuff we'd tell a friend over coffee if they asked us how to actually grow a Shopify store in 2026. Ad creative that doesn't look like an ad. Email flows that aren't built from a template.
- Rants. Mostly about Shopify apps that should have been a single line of Liquid.
What it isn't
It's not a list of "10 ways to optimise your store." There are six thousand of those already and they all say the same six things. It's not SEO bait. It's not going to ask you for your email twice on the way in.
If we're going to take up your attention, we'd like to deserve it.
What's next
The next post is the first real one. It'll have the narration turned on, so you can listen to it while you do the dishes if reading isn't your thing.
If you want to know when it goes up, the laziest way is to subscribe to the RSS feed. The slightly less lazy way is to send us a note and we'll personally tell you, because we're not running a newsletter yet.
